With over 20 years of experience in arboriculture and ecology, including over 15 years as a private consultant, Steven Shell MArborA has worked on various projects ranging from large infrastructure initiatives to detailed site assessments. His expertise encompasses development site tree surveys, ecological surveys, tree risk assessments, and thorough condition assessments using specialised diagnostic tools.

He has a degree in Arboriculture, a Level 6 Professional Diploma in Arboriculture, the Arboricultural Association Technical Certificate in Arboriculture, and the Professional Tree Inspection Certificate. He also holds a survey license for bats from Natural England and Natural Resources Wales.
